“apart from Him nothing [lit., “not even one thing”] came into being that has come into being.” That Jesus Christ created everything (cf. Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:2) offers two further proofs of His deity. First, the creator of all things must Himself be “uncreated”—one who never was created—and only God is uncreated.
